What should I do if I haven’t received an acknowledgment for my submission?

You should always receive an acknowledgment for each new submission you submit. If you don’t receive this within 48 hours, please contact our office on 01909 511 260, as we may not have your submission.

When will I receive my submission queries?

We normally process and notify you of submission queries within 48 hours. However, from time to time, this may take longer. Please rest assured, we will be in touch as soon as possible.

How will I know my submission has been approved?

Once you have returned your submission queries, we will review them. If all the queries have been resolved, we’ll approve your submission and send you an approval notice via email, which confirms your submission name, Total LTS and Total funding value for the submission.

When will my Purchase Order be released?

We’ll release your PO in line with your agreed payment terms, once any submission queries have been resolved and your submission has been approved by Effective Energy Solutions.

I am looking at installing dual measures. What is the maximum time between a primary measures and dual measure install?

As a rule, a primary measure should always be installed before a secondary measure. Once this work is completed, you’ll have up to six months to install the secondary measure.

I want to use a benefit letter as Proof of Eligibility. Is this ok?

We accept benefit letters as proof of eligibility, providing they are less than 18 months old. However, these must only be used in instances where you have submitted the customer’s details for a DWP check and it hasn’t come back matched.

How old does a boiler have to be to qualify?

We do not accept any boiler replacement measures on pre-install boilers less than six years old.

I want to install a cavity wall measure on a property built after 2003. Is this ok?

Unfortunately, we do not accept cavity wall installations on properties built post 2003, as these properties should be compliant with building regulations and should already have cavity wall insulation installed.

A customer has decorative old-style radiators at the property and is refusing to let us install TRV’s. What can we do in this situation?

In general, wherever there is a radiator, there must be a TRV. The only exception to this rule is where the radiator is being used as a bypass. If you’re unable to install a TRV, it’s worth reminding the customer that the work will not be eligible under ECO, as there will not be a full set of heating controls post-install.

I am looking at installing heating control options for a property. Which combinations can I install?

1. Standard Heating controls – You could claim for this measure if you are installing a standard room thermostat, programmer and TRVs post-install.

2. Smart Thermostat – This measure applies wherever you’re installing a smart thermostat that is controlled remotely using a smart device such as your phone.

3. TRVs – You could claim this measure if you are considering installing a smart thermostat at a property and also need to install TRVs.

Can anyone order a boiler through Effective Energy Solutions?

We would first ask you to complete our onboarding process. We would then carry out a credit check. Once this has been completed, we will provide you with a contract schedule. You will then be able to send orders through to us.

Can any boiler be ordered through the supply process?

We are currently only able to provide Ideal Logic or Worcester Greenstar boilers.
